Security Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist in defensive security, specifically in application layer security and management of a Web Application Firewall (WAF), to join our Blue Team. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of cloud security, SecOps, and application layer security.

What will I be doing

• Managing application layer security by administering the WAF and its configuration.
• Collaborating in the administration of other defensive security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, among others.
• Managing observability of the WAF by monitoring and analyzing generated events and alerts.
• Working collaboratively with other security teams to identify and mitigate risks.
• Identifying areas for improvement in information security and recommend appropriate solutions.

What skills do I need

• Previous experience in managing and configuring a WAF.
• Experience with public clouds such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of implementing and managing defensive security tools.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex security problems.
• Knowledge of network security and security operations.
• Written and spoken English
