Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will be responsibly of ensuring the implementation of security controls, and the protection in the cloud by integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to guarantee effective solutions, approving deployments to production, and managing risks. In addition, you´ll oversee Cybersecurity mattters, safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with security leadership, Certification and Awareness, and IT to execute security strategies
• Participate in the SDLC by conducting security reviews, integrating controls from conception phase to approval for production deployment
• Develop specific security policies
• Ensure compliance with cloud regulations
• Work closely with the Cybersecurity team to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents

Minimum Requirements

• 4+ experience with cloud services in AWS
• Strong technical background in DevOps is highly desirable
• Knowledge in Terraform and Cloudformation (IAC) and AWS resources (RBAC, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS WAF, EC2, AWS Single Sign-On (SSO) o AWS Identity Federation, AWS Config, AWS Key Management Service)
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and in setting up and maintaining Build and Release management using Jenkins
• Strong understanding of Linux OSes like Ubuntu, CentOS / Redhat Linux and knowledge of Networking, HA / Load Balancing and Security
• Experience / skill / knowledge with System Manager, VPN S2S, DynamoDB, Kinesis, QLDB
• Experience in cybresecurity matters, including: policies and procedures, security events, identification of potential threats, security assessments and vulnerability testing, among others
• Appetite to automate every possible scenario/task
• Knowledge in architectures and design patterns
• Python, GO, CICD, Postgres, MySQL, is desirable
• A growth mindset and passionate about building things from the ground up
• Interest in learning new languages/frameworks as needed
• Fluency in written and spoken English (and Spanish)
• Startup experience is a plus
