AI Workforce Operations Lead

(Location: Remote - Latin America preferred)

About the Role

A Medellín-based BPO with 10+ years in tech-driven service operations is launching a new AI training unit and looking for someone to lead Human-in-the-Loop initiatives.


You’ll be the first full-time team member driving this vertical , setting up processes, building teams, validating use cases with real AI startups, and scaling from 0 to 1 and beyond. This is a rare opportunity to own a business line from the ground up, with the infrastructure of a proven BPO behind you.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the setup and execution of human-powered AI training operations (e.g. RLHF, prompt evaluation, data labeling, QA loops).
  • Build and manage a pool of trained agents across LATAM for various AI training tasks.
  • Translate task guidelines from clients into scalable workflows and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with tech and product teams from AI startups to define metrics, QA processes, and delivery expectations.
  • Run pilots, iterate quickly, deliver results, and scale successful engagements.
  • Work directly with the CEO and leadership team to shape the unit’s go-to-market, partnerships and positioning.

You’re a great fit if you...

  • Have 3+ years of experience in operations, product, or project management, ideally in a BPO, SaaS or data-centric environment.
  • Understand how LLMs, RLHF, labeling, and human-in-the-loop AI systems work — at least at a conceptual and operational level.
  • Are highly structured, self-directed, and able to execute quickly with limited resources.
  • Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Are excited about building something from scratch, wearing multiple hats, and iterating with clients.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with data ops tools (e.g. Toloka, Scale AI, Labelbox, Remotasks, etc.)
  • Background in linguistics, philosophy, cognitive science, or QA processes.
  • Prior work in NLP, trust & safety, content moderation, or customer support for AI companies.
